Frequently Asked Questions

How are your Caregivers screened?

All our caregivers are twenty-one or older and experienced in childcare.  We run a full background check on every candidate for criminal, felony, sex offender and driving histories.  Each candidate fills out our extensive application covering work history, mental and physical health, and personality traits.  Our staff then personally interviews each candidate and evaluates their level of qualifications.  Upon a successful interview we check six references, three personal and three businesses.  The first step is to complete our orientation courses, which cover topics such as CPR, First Aid, privacy laws and how to conduct themselves in a home.  Once this is complete, they are tested on these topics and with a passing grade start to work with us.

What type of experience do your nannies have?

All of our temporary and permanent nannies have childcare experience before they come to work with us.  It can vary from extensive baby sitting to having been a nanny before.  Some nannies have teaching backgrounds or have worked in daycare centers or church nurseries.  There are nannies with formal nanny training and college educated ones as well.

How long does it take to hire a nanny?

Typically it takes from three to six weeks from start to finish.  We have made placements in as short as a couple of days to as long as ten weeks.  Much can depend on the type of job you have and the amount of time you have to interview and meet candidates.

How much are nannies paid?

Please see our rates page for details.

What are the permanent placement fees?

To start the search we charge $200 for the search fee.  We will e-mail a job description to your family to fill out and send back with the payment.  Upon hiring your caregiver and after they work for us for 5 days, we charge a $1,400 placement fee.  You will be given a ninety-day replacement guarantee and you will be registered with our temporary division for backup and emergency care.

Can I meet your staff in person?

We would love the opportunity for you to come by and meet our staff.  We recommend whatever childcare service you choose, you stop in our office to make sure our staff and ownership meets your standards and values.  We are located at 5550 Franklin Pike, Suite 202, Nashville, TN.

Can I get references on your company?

Our clients and caregivers volunteer on a regular basis to talk to new clients and caregivers.  Leaving your loved ones with a caregiver is a hard thing to do.  You need to feel as good about your agency as you do about your caregiver.  Please call us at 615-371-0600 for a list of trusted references.

What areas do you cover?

We cover a 50 miles radius of Nashville, generally Davidson, Rutherford and Williamson Counties.  This is more important with our temporary division than our permanent division.  We have placed permanent nannies farther out.  Please call to see if we can help you.
